Planning director Strategic Affairs MoD (December 2020 to 2022)


Leading the strategic planning and budgeting for Mod, responsible for maximizing the MoD portfolio operating performance and achieving its strategic goals. with a broad array of responsibilities ranging from communicating with the All stakes holders and planning community to prepare strategic plans and budgets, ensuring sound financial practices of the MoD, managing the strategic plan, ensuring a healthy working environment and overseeing procurements and general operations, as well as attending the board meetings, and act as a liaison with the board of directors, managing the financial plans and overseeing the procurements plans, so that all procurements must follow the guidelines of capabilities plans.

  • Designing the strategic plan (10 years and 5 years plans) for MoD, defining the operating methodology and budgeting.

PMO DIRECTOR (Level II) (March 2015 to April 2020)

Transformation Management Program, KSA

Insured business excellence and Performed various feasibility and profitability analyses to assess programs & projects performance based on critical success factors and strong networking within the program and external stakeholders & other business partners; recommended remedial measures to board of ministers for all ongoing and upcoming programs & projects within the kingdom.

Reporting in a weekly basis to board of ministers on the ongoing  programs and the status of future programs within the country, Planed the business plan for the kingdom procurement strategy for the next 20 years, Introduce the PMO strategy and implement common project management methodology, standards, and tools to drive and facilitate successful execution/delivery of projects within the kingdom. Determine key resources in collaboration with functional managers and deliver direction required for meeting project objectives. Streamline all project tasks and ensure compliance to all timeframe, resolve all issues according to required project plan, and assist to resolve all issues within organization. Direct the project management office with the objective of delivering all projects by using best-practice project delivery approach within the agreed scope, time, cost, and quality. Lead mega projects in the kingdom right from conception to delivery, provide expert knowledge and support, monitor progress, and report on the portfolio status.

  • Defined business strategies and organizational policies to enable strategic coordination of multiple major programs, projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness, securing 260M Saudi Ryals.
  • Saved 55M Saudi Ryals by terminating PMO consultant contact, ensuring compliance to all timeframe.
  • Steered planning, designing, and implementation of a new operating model in the kingdom by assessing and benchmarking existing against international best practices and defined the 10 years’ roadmap.
  • Led the planning and execution of the transformation of the kingdom to be one of the most modern and effective in the region and in the world.

IT & COMMUNICATION Commission, KSA

Increased project resource utilization and improved processes through implementation of IT Resource division to review project resources and remove blocks.

IT & COMMUNICATION DIVISION MANAGER (2011 to 2015)

Oversaw all new communication and infrastructure projects, maintenance of the highly sensitive C4I system, ensuring that proper application of all security protocols at all times whilst keeping infrastructure in top condition with minimal downtimes.
